2. The regulator

Licensed immigration consultants in Canada are regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). 3. Purpose and scope

ServiceWhat it coversFee
30-Minute Immigration Strategy Session Based on the background you provide: which immigration pathways may fit, whether you appear to meet key requirements, the main risks, and whether applying on your own is realistic CA$90 per 30 minutes
30-Minute DIY Document Review Session A point-by-point review of the application forms, documents and evidence you have already prepared: what the problems are, why they matter and how to fix them CA$150 per 30 minutes

Sessions take place on Zoom. If you need 2 to 4 consecutive slots (1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours), the regular booking page cannot book them in one go. Write to us first; you pay for the session, then we send you a dedicated booking link. On that page you choose the length you paid for and tick the box confirming that you have read this agreement and paid in full for the length you are booking. If payment has not been confirmed as received 24 hours before the session, the time slot is not guaranteed and may be cancelled. Each 30 minutes is charged at the price above, with no discount.

This session does not include: filling in or submitting your application for you; communicating with IRCC or any other government body on your behalf; a written legal opinion; or a guarantee of any outcome. A single consultation or review does not create an ongoing representation relationship. If your application requires you to declare a representative, the consultant will explain this during the session.

Advice is based on the information you provide during the session and on the law and policy in effect on that day. Incomplete or inaccurate information directly affects the accuracy of the advice. Immigration policy can change at any time, and the final decision rests with the officer.

4. Fees and payment

  • The fee is paid in full when you book.
  • Taxes: the prices above include GST/HST where it applies.
  • Fees are non-refundable, except where the consultant cancels (section 5).
  • The consultation and review fees you have paid are converted into Credits of equal value. If you later sign a full representation agreement with us, the Credits are applied in full against the service fee, so you are not charged twice. Credits never expire.

5. Rescheduling and cancellation

  • You may reschedule once, at least 24 hours before your appointment.
  • If you reschedule less than 24 hours before, or do not attend, the fee is not refunded and the booking is forfeited.
  • If the consultant needs to cancel or reschedule, you may choose a new time or a full refund.

6. Documents

At least 24 hours before your appointment, please email your completed forms, key supporting documents and your list of questions to askcrystal@canadaimmigrationdiy.com. Late or incomplete materials may mean they cannot all be reviewed within 30 minutes.

7. Recording and AI meeting summary

  • Before recording, the consultant will ask for your consent. You may decline; the session goes ahead as normal, but no recording or AI summary is provided afterwards.
  • If the session is recorded, you will receive the Zoom recording and an AI meeting summary within 1 day. The recording is kept for 1 year, during which you may watch it as often as you like; it is deleted after 1 year.
  • The AI meeting summary is generated automatically by a third-party tool from the meeting content and may contain errors. The recording and the consultant's spoken advice prevail.

8. Confidentiality and personal information

Your personal information and documents are used only for this session and for any related services you later engage us for, and are protected under Canadian privacy law. They are not disclosed to third parties unless required by law or with your written consent. The meeting recording and AI summary tools process the meeting content; this processing is necessary to provide the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.

9. Conflict of interest

The consultant is not aware of any conflict of interest with you. If a conflict is identified before or during the session, you will be told immediately and it will be handled under the Code of Professional Conduct.

10. Feedback and complaints

If you have a concern about the service, please email askcrystal@canadaimmigrationdiy.com first and we will respond as soon as we can. You may also complain directly to CICC; see college-ic.ca for how.

11. Formation of the agreement and copies

By ticking the consent box in the booking form (including the form on the dedicated multi-slot booking page) and submitting your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this agreement. The client details in this agreement are those you enter in the booking form. A copy is sent with your booking confirmation email, and Fly2Canada keeps a copy.

If this agreement is updated, the version in effect when you booked applies; earlier versions are archived. For bookings made in English, this English text governs.
